About Dani

Ciao, sono Daniela. I live in Surrey. I came to the UK from Urbino (Marche region), Italy, in 1992 to attend the last year  of  my Modern Foreign Languages Degree at Hull University. During this period, I was offered a role as a Language Teaching Assistant at the Italian Department. After my BA (Hons) graduation, I gained my QTS 

(Qualified Teaching Status for Secondary Education) in 1994. Over the years, I have taught in Language Departments in various secondary schools in Surrey. Also, as a private Tutor, I have had the pleasure to teach all ages and all levels including students taking their GCSE & A Level exams.

I have been there & done that!

 I have learnt  4  languages, so I know it can seem daunting and unachievable ...  but it really isn`t!

 If you fear not being able to learn... fear not! 

Through my teaching experience and student feedback, I have come to understand that grown-ups, in particular, lack confidence, are afraid to make "silly" mistakes  and fear not understanding or being understood. What really makes the difference in learning any language is feeling confident enough to give it a go and feeling relaxed enough to ask questions... ... and with my own method the process will also be fun. 

My mission is to help you learn to speak Italian as earlier on as possible enjoying the process! 

 You don t need to be bogged down by heavy grammar in order to speak the day to day lingo fluently. I have had students ranging from the age of 7 to 84 and trust me anyone CAN learn to speak a new language. 

 I will build your confidence and finally you will be able to greet, order food and chit chat with the locals next time you are at Lago di Como, Pompei, Umbria or Polignano al Mare! and why not visit my "not so well known" bellissima region: Le Marche.

I believe fluency is achievable for all, it really is not only a dream!
